Gongs and bling

Good news this week for the Bath Life team: we’ve been nominated in the Best Regional Magazine category by the PPA Awards, which celebrates excellence in the world of independent publishing. It’s a major accolade, given that we have a tiny editorial team producing a highquality
publication every two weeks – obviously,
we think we’re absolutely marvellous, but it’s nice to have this nationally confirmed.

One of the things that makes Bath so rich and rewarding for those of us who work on this magazine is its sheer diversity. Many of the city’s most independent-thinking businesses have made Walcot Street their base, and this has long been regarded as the boho quarter of the city. For this issue’s Out & About feature we set forth to discover what makes the street so special – we’ve even tried our hands at glass-blowing.
