Festival of the Tree

Operation Christmas Child 2008
The Operation Christmas Child 2008 Shoe Box Appeal launches today in Bath. Guest speaker Alan Cutting will talk about the distribution of gift-flled shoe boxes to needy children in Eastern Europe and Africa. From Lucian Freud to Francis Bacon
Dr Rex Valentine will be giving a talk at the Bath Royal & Literary Institution today. The name Freud is forever associated with the unconscious, but in painting it was not Lucian Freud but Francis Bacon whose explorations of his own unconscious revealed the violent and disturbing images of ‘accidental man in extremis’.
